Job purpose

Sr. Security Systems & Network Engineer (SSNE), responsible for enterprise security and infrastructure in the Data Center and 500+ Beacon branch offices in the US and Canada.
Duties and responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service through evaluating and responding to production system problems and questions.
  • Support day to day operation of critical business systems and the resolution of support request
  • Maintain system compliance with security controls and standards.
  • Excellent listening, written and oral communication skills with desire to deliver exceptional customer service to the user community.
  • Maintain department goals and service level agreement for Incident Management.
  • Develop, enhance, and leverage your leadership and project management skills by participating in large, medium, or small project teams focused on delivering business solutions that positively impact the bottom line.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate high ethical standards.
  • Keep current on recent technologies, business initiatives and staff productivity tools.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:
  • 8 or more years of experience developing, optimizing and supporting IT Infrastructure.
  • Related technical certification, or a degree in one of the following fields:
    • Information Technology
    • Science or Computer Science
    • Management
    • Professional certification(s) (e.g., VMware VCP) desired.
  • Must have comprehensive knowledge of LAN/WAN concepts
  • Must have experience with Data Center Infrastructure and fundamental concepts
    • VMware ESXi 7.0 and later
    • Cisco unified computing system (UCS)
    • SAN and Fabric management (EMC, Cisco, MDS
  • Must have current Linux, Windows Server experience
  • Experience with cybersecurity frame works (NIST, CIS (Center for Internet Security), etc.) and best practices for system configuration, patch management and vulnerability remediation
  • Familiar with Cloud solutions e.g., (GCP, Azure)
  • Experience with maintaining Enterprise backups
  • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a fast pace dynamic environment.
  • Professional, hardworking, positive attitude with a willingness to learn and apply multiple technologies to creatively exceed the customer’s expectations and drive business value.
  • Quick learner with strong analytical, problem-solving skills that can produce quality work in a timely fashion.
  • Time & work management skills that involve prioritizing multiple tasks to effectively deliver results.
  • Demonstrate motivation and initiative and comfortable in a fast paced environment.

Working conditions

The job requires availability for travel, evening, and weekend work.
