Position Purpose:
As the 2nd Shift Lead, you are a vital asset to The Spice & Tea Exchange® Distribution. The Shift Lead will oversee safety procedures, the facilitation of production, and generally direct 2nd shift activities to achieve the company’s distribution strategies.
Essential job duties include but not limited to:
· Oversees 2nd shift production operations in order fulfilment for internet and franchise stores in accordance with company requirements and standards.
· Lead team members pertaining to products, orders, labeling, GMP compliance, and other procedures
· Balance quality, productivity, efficiencies to improve costs, safety and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Work towards continuous improvements.
· Works closely with receiving and inventory management to ensure proper supply levels.
· Monitor staff performance and adherence to company policies and procedures daily.
· Communicate with team as necessary to facilitate and maintain production and company standards.
· Flexible schedule.
· End of day / end of shift facility janitorial maintenance
Knowledge and Job Requirements:
· 2-3 years in Production experience
· Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effectiveness of manufacturing and distribution of goods.
Preferred Skills
· Strong computer proficiency, e.g. excel, website navigation
· Strong planning and organizational skills
· Strong customer service focus
· Excellent verbal and written communication
· Flexibility and ability to work extended shifts
· Proven detail orientation
· Working knowledge of ERP systems
· Works well independently and in a team unit as a team leader
Physical Requirements:
· Operates kitchen tools
· Physical mobility within a warehouse environment
· Occasional overhead lifting
· Occasional bending
· Occasional stooping
· Ability to visually verify color and substance
· Lifting up to 55 lbs.
· Tolerates Spice odors
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 per hour
