Title: Screen Printer
Division: Productions
Classification: Non- Exempt, Full Time
Reports to: Production Manager

Purpose of the position: To work with a team for inventory, clean screens, prep screens, burn images into screens, mix inks, line up jobs, print garments, box, weigh, and measure for shipping.
Essential Functions: (must be able to perform these functions, with or with reasonable accommodation.)
Inventory
Shipments are received and matched to the work orders. Count and inventory all orders.
Cleaning
Use the PPE that has been provided.
Remove the screen from the press.
Remove the ink from each screen and place the left-over ink in the correct ink buckets.
Place the buckets back on the shelves.
Remove tape from the screens.
Place the screens into the tank to dissolve the ink.
Remove the squeegees and flood bars from the press and place them into the cleaning tub.
Remove the screens from the tank, apply the correct cleaning solutions per screen.
Use the pressure washer to remove and clean all the ink in the screen and around the metal of the screens.
Place the screens in the racks to allow for drying. Once the screens are dry apply the emulsion per screen
Burning the Image into the Screen
Once the image is dry and has the emulsion on the screen you are ready to burn the image into the screen, Align the artwork on the flash table, Seth the film and burn the image into the screen per instructions. Once the image is done walk over to the tub and spray the screen until the image appears.
Once the image appears and it is completely dry, we are ready to place into the slots on the press.
Mixing Inks
Look up the PMS color on the computer, print out the instructions to mix the inks using the scale apply the inks per instructions, mix the ink using the mixer, place each bucket with the PMS color on the outside of the bucket and tape over the entire sheet so that the paper is protected from ink.
Printing Garments
Retrieve the screens from the dark room, take over to the tape area and start to tape around the metal of the screen and block out any pinholes or imperfections that could cause a flaw into the image. Look at the top of the screen to see the color and the number that the screen will go into the arms of the press.
Place the screen into the appropriate arm of the press, next add the squeegee and flood bars, finally add the ink in the screen. Once this is completed make sure to use the tri lock system to line up each job.
Retape the boards if needed so that the garments will not move during the printing process. Run a test print to ensure QA/QC for each job. Continue to fill the screens with ink during the printing process.
Before each job review the work order that is on the clipboard and ensure that all the shirts are on the cart(s). Review the artwork, the locations and pass the clip board to the team member who will be catching the shirts.
Cleaning and Maintaining the Equipment and warehouse.
Ensure that the warehouse is clean from debris, drinking bottles are picked up and thrown away in the proper bins, sweep and remove all garbage from the warehouse and front offices. Ensure the break room is cleaned daily. Bathroom to be clean and maintained.
Other duties assigned.

Experience and Education Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.
Working Conditions:
Adequately lighted building. Works with fumes regularly dusty, loud, warehouse setting.
