The Vergennes Elementary School is seeking a School Nutrition Manager. Qualified candidates will thrive in a fast paced, energetic environment; have cooking and culinary skills; love good food and children; work well leading a team; and be highly organized and efficient.
Knowledge of School Nutrition and previous experience working in school kitchens or restaurants is a plus. Looking for someone interested in working to improve nutrition for students and create Farm to School connections.
Daily duties include production management, meal preparation, line service, inventory management, ordering, and clean up. Knife skills and knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment are important. Lifting, up to 50lbs., and standing for long periods of time required.
