Description:

Utilizes the housekeeping process in collecting trash from within the hospital depositing in trash compactor

Maintains a safe, clean environment for patients, visitors and staff

Demonstrates effective implementation of technical skills

Performs other duties

Able to follow instructions and approved trash pick-up schedule

Interrelates well with fellow employees and the general public

Good physical and mental health, able to lift heavy loads, reach and stoop

Considerable standing and walking required

Able to work under supervision or independently as required by the situation and under stressful conditions

Education/Experience:

High school graduate or equivalent

Required skills can be taught according to standard operating procedures in 5 day on the job training
