Tate Ornamental, Inc. is a family owned and operated company that has been in business since 1988. We pride ourselves on being a one-stop shop for design, fabrication, installation, and freight. We specialize in creating distinguished works of art from our fabrication of architectural metal, millwork, and stone. Our projects include stairways, railings, canopies, millwork, casework, stone and quartz. Ornamental metals include steel cold and hot roll, bronze/brass, stainless steel and aluminum.
We are seeking a Sales & Showroom Assistant responsible for assisting the sales team with the sale of Natural Stone, Quartz, Recycled Surfaces, and Solid Surfaces. Customers include homeowners, contractors, and designers in the Bowling Green to South Nashville territory. This position primarily supports the sales team collect AR, order samples, greet customers, and maintain and organized showroom. This position will be willing to learn or will have product knowledge and will remain up-to-date with product features and design trends. A team-orientated individual, passionate for design with excellent customer service skills would thrive in this fast-paced environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assists Showroom Manager with daily tasks
- Collects deposits
- Creates invoices
- Mails/emails each necessary customer with brochure/warranty information
- Submits AR Reports to each sales member Bi-weekly
- Collects past due payments from customers
- Assists Sales with inputting job information
- Orders samples as requested and maintain sample stock in the showroom
- Answers phones for Sales office
- Greets customers entering the showroom and take the initiative to collect initial customer information when a salesperson is unavailable.
- Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor
- Maintains a clean and orderly showroom
- Creates and maintains sales related documents including promotional materials
- Learns basic product knowledge and be able to communicate clearly about our materials/processes
- Performs other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Design, Professional Sales or related, preferred
- On-the-job training, preferred
- 5 years sales experience, preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting or standing
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
