Summary of Position

The Sales Operations Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day support, maintenance, and improvement of our CRM(Salesforce) and the sales database, as well as function as the primary driver for training, reporting, and more. This role is focused on providing the best possible CRM experience for the revenue organization, while maintaining an extremely high level of data fidelity and process compliance across the org.

The Sales Operations Manager role reports to the Director of Business Development and Operations, and will work closely with Sales, Inside Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success in tight-knit cooperation with leadership and IT.


Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as an auxiliary system administrative contact for the Salesforce environment, supporting the userbase of the entire revenue group.
  • Responsible for revenue funnel-based reporting projects in Salesforce and MS Excel, including the long-term tracking of sales and marketing data.
  • Gather detailed requests for improvements or changes to the system, and partner with our business group leaders to implement said changes, including access permissions restructure, changing/building fields, automation. and more.
  • Work with leadership and any available data specialists to discover, evaluate, and leverage data vendors and other sales data platforms to enrich or update the sales database.
  • Responsible for sales-facing training and re-training on new features, implementations, or compliance issues, including new hire training and ramp-up.
  • Maintain a series of cadenced audits, keeping data clean and providing the ability for reporting to sustain a high level of accuracy regardless of user and/or automation error.
  • Partner with and support other elements of sales ops and IT for reporting, data cleansing, de-duplication, data uploads, large batch record edits, reporting, and more.
  • Secure and maintain high levels of integrity, impartiality, and data compliance for the CRM and supported users.
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support Sales/Marketing initiatives, decisions, and program execution.

Skills Required

  • Salesforce.com multi-year power user or system administrator skillset, especially in reports & dashboards, across all main record types.
  • Demonstrable excel power user skillset, including but not limited to: lookup, pivot tables, cross-tab/sheet manipulation, mathematical and logic functions.
  • Strong ability to meet deadlines while handling and prioritizing simultaneous requests.
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization, including public speaking and presentations.
  • Ability to critically evaluate and prioritize information gathered from multiple sources and reconcile conflicts.
  • Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on Salesforce and other integrated systems.

Experience

  • College degree or equivalent relevant work experience (4 years) required.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Salesforce power user or 1 year experience as a full system administrator required.
  • Experience in large group presentations via powerpoint, excel, and other software required.
  • Power BI, VBA, Python, or similar data manipulation software ability preferred but not required.
  • Sales, Marketing, Inside Sales, RevOps, SalesOps, or similar revenue funnel related role experience preferred but not required.
