Role/Responsibilities

  • Responsible for a team of sales professionals within the CRE Broker Solutions vertical of Commercial Real Estate.
  • Design, implement and execute a strategic business development plan for a defined set of solutions within the MA-CRE unit.
  • Implement best practices in sales techniques to achieve annual sales target for the team
  • Strong oversight for successfully managing activity metrics of direct reports.
  • Responsible for directing the sales of products and services focused on software solutions that look to solve workflow and analytics challenges within Commercial Real Estate Brokers within North America.
  • Manage a team of sales professionals by periodically reviewing account coverage, pipeline development, forecasting and attainment of new clients.
  • Set direction and policies for sales campaigns and executes these plans.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Expected to spend up to 30% of the time on the road meeting customers when conditions allow.
  • Maintain active relationships with customers and intermediaries at all levels.
  • Work with the relationship management team to identify target accounts who are Moody’s customers and have significant real estate exposure.
  • Working with the CRE Organization Unit leadership team identify business opportunities for new product and feature development through market and client exposure. Partner with the product strategy team to define pricing strategies that will grow the book of business.
  • Work with the CRE Organization Unit leadership team to identify pilot customers for new products that are being developed and ensure customer involvement in the product development.
  • Work with marketing, events, and product strategy teams to drive sales initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree in finance, economics or related area required; graduate/second-level degree (e.g. Master’s/MBA) degree preferred.
  • 10+ years experience in a sales role within in a software/data/services organization with a successful track record in sales, preferably selling solutions to the global marketplace.
  • Experience in managing multiple sales professionals a plus.
  • Ability to sell on a needs/solutions approach and influence key decision makers.
  • Ability to influence key decision makers.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills as well as outstanding client relationship management experience.
  • Understanding of solution sales techniques and applications for diverse industry sectors
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose issues and develop solutions.
  • Ability to multi task and meet short deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment, with focus and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a matrixed reporting structure.
  • Position requires travel (approximately 25-40%), COVID permitting

For Colorado-based roles only: the anticipated base salary range for this position is $131,500 to $190,600, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for commission-based compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
