About the job
We are seeking recent college graduates or early in career candidates to join our Sales Engineering team.
  • Works closely with Regional Sales Managers responding to quote requests, heat exchanger designs, pricing, commercial terms, order entry and technical issues.
  • Virtual meetings with customers, potential customers, Channel Partners, and team members to assess customer needs and develop a solution using Alfa Laval technology. Determines the appropriate heat exchanger and develops the design.
  • Enters and/or expedites orders for a project or piece of equipment. May communicate status of order to customer.
  • Drives the sales process directly or with a Channel Partner or Sales Manager through coordinating the quote, negotiations, determining terms and conditions and closing of the order.
  • Trains channel partners and new customers on AL products, processes and procedures.
  • 10% domestic travel. Minor international travel
What you know
You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical engineering.
  • Strong customer service orientation by being concerned with providing a prompt, efficient and personalized service to customers.
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment and a desire to continuously strive for a goal even in the face of adversity. Able to cope with disappointments and setbacks.
  • Ability to learn about financial and business matters; costs, profits, markets, new business opportunities.
  • Strong verbal, written, and personal communication skills. Have the ability to communicate clearly and to the point while holding the audience’s attention. Must be able to produce written communications which are clear, concise and readily understood.
