Role Summary
As a Sales and Design Associate, you'll be a critical member of the Embellish My Home team. To succeed in this role, you must be self-motivated, highly customer-focused, energetic, and achievement oriented. You'll work in the store showroom and be responsible for offering consultation and advice to customers, diagnosing their design and home furnishings needs, creating and proposing solutions, presenting product options, and answering questions regarding products. In addition to doing in-store sales, you'll also do home visits to provide customers with the best design solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing
Your job duties will generally include (but are not limited to):
- Performing daily sales activities, including closing sales, post-sale follow-up, opening and tagging merchandise, providing ship dates, entering data into the POS system, etc.
- Creating a memorable shopping and selection experience for all customers.
- Being an active listener to client’s needs in order to formulate desired solutions.
- Helping clients for space planning and recommending/ design furniture based on their desire.
- House visits eventually, if your qualifications allow you to represent the company on that extent.
- Providing clients with unsurpassed service, expertise, and convenience through product knowledge, sales and post-sale follow-up.
- Achieving monthly sales quotas and goals as defined by management.
- Making home visits as needed to provide customers with complete design solutions.
- Building and maintaining a working knowledge of current inventory, specifications, and information through regular product reviews, internal meetings, trade and industry publications, etc.
- Maintaining a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Organizing, updating and maintaining showroom literature and samples.
- Learning and using the POS system to look up pricing, inventory and availability, customer information, delivery dates, back-orders, etc.
- Answering incoming customer service telephone calls and calling customers to set up deliveries and follow up.
- Helping to maintain the showroom standards for general cleanliness and tidiness and following all store processes and procedures.
- Helping the team with floor set ups when changes are needed.
- Attending sales meetings and trainings.
Responsibilities
- Greet each customer with a smile and provide assistance while they are shopping
- Follow all safety and loss prevention procedures.
- Work at a register to ring up and carry out customer sales.
- Collect payments by cash and credit card
- Issue receipts and refunds to customers
- Take added responsibility for stocking, inventory, and store maintenance.
- Drive sales by participating in targeted product promotions and initiatives as set forth by the company.
- Develop and maintain solid product knowledge in order to best help customers with their selections.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required; College degree preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Authorized to work in the USA.
- Retail sales or customer service required.
- Interior Design experience or a flair for design.
- Helping the clients for space planning and recommending/designing furniture based on their desire.
- Willingness to work well in a team environment
- Ability to quickly and accurately work a register
- Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, stoop, reach, climb ladders, and lift light-medium weight (25 pounds) objects (rugs, art, accessories, with help of others).
- Ability to work at least 24 hrs a week during the week plus Saturdays, (closed on Sundays).
