• Education - Advanced classes in automation technology required and/or equivalent experience + Robot Training Courses [Beneficial, but not required]
• Responsibilities -
• Work with experienced robot technicians to refurbish pre-owned robots
• Disassemble mechanical arms and electrical controllers for repair
• Clean and assemble components [some equipment is fairly dirty]
• Prepare for final painting
• Assist in writing robotic programs to cycle robot through the certification process for pre-ship approval
• Assist with material handling [loading/unloading of equipment]
• Maintain clean work area
• Periodically run errands to pick up material for refurbishing robots [use company vehicles or paid mileage]
• Ideal Candidate Profile -
• Must have some Hands-On experience with Industrial Robots [Fanuc Robots Preferred]]
• Associate that is motivated to learn the Robotic Refurbishing methods and become self-sufficient in performing work alone
• Troubleshoot errors and correct
• Good mechanical aptitude for detecting worn reducers
• Good electrical aptitude for detecting out of spec. motors, amplifiers, teach pendants, control boards, etc.
• Associate that would like to become a key contributor in applying refurbished robots for customer’s end use.
• Includes gripper development
• Incoming part orientation
• Robot programming
• Perimeter guarding and robot safety
• Willing to travel and assist with installation at end customer job-site
• Full Time employment -
• 40 hr. work week M-Fri. [8:30A >5:00P]
• Compensation based on education and experience
