Job Summary



  • Plans, implements, and evaluates Diabetes Services program. Maintains current knowledge of diabetes and CDE certification. Provides education to diabetic inpatients and outpatients. Provides staff education related to diabetes. Teaches clearly and effectively. Maintains program’s ADA recognition status, if applicable.

Qualifications



Minimum Qualifications



  • Current CA Licensure as RN.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Specialty Certification: Certified Diabetes Educator strongly preferred. Must obtain in a reasonable timeframe after hire if aplicant not currently a DCE.
  • Minimum 2 years experience as an RN.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Experience in program management in health related field.
  • Experience in care of people with diabetes.
  • Possesses basic computer skills.
  • Clear, professional, personable communication.
  • BLS required

Pay range: $49.69 Minimum - $77.02 Maximum an hour


Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience.
