About Mountain Youth Academy:


Mountain Youth Academy is a trauma-based residential treatment facility located in the rolling hills of Tennessee. Our treatment center is located in Mountan CIty TN, but within driving distance of both Virginia and North Carolina. Mountain Youth Academy exclusively treats children and adolescents, both boys and girls ages 5–17. Our trauma treatment offers individual, group and family trauma therapy as well as other treatment methodologies to help youth deal with traumas they have experienced. Our mission is to provide mental health and educational services to enhance the quality of life for at-risk youth and their families through service excellence, compassion, integrity and respect.

Qualifications:
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Renders professional nursing care to students within the treatment programs. Practices ongoing student assessment, evaluation and update of student care through observation of physical and behavioral symptoms and communicates pertinent data to other service areas as needed. Administers medications appropriately and documents all data accurately according to facility policy. Participates in formulation of individual care plans for all students and implements plan according to facility policy.
