La Rabida Children’s Hospital is hiring multiple, full-time Night Shift Respiratory Therapists for the Inpatient Nursing unit in Chicago, IL.

Job Summary:
La Rabida is currently recruiting multiple full-time Respiratory Therapists to join our Inpatient Nursing department in Chicago, IL. Multiple shifts available, both day and night. Rotating weekends and holidays. We are a small children’s acute care hospital focused on treating complex medical conditions, chronic illnesses, developmental disabilities, and abuse and trauma. Functions in an independent and professional manner to provide high-quality behavioral health services to outpatient clients and their families.
Essential Respiratory Therapist Functions:
Performs clinical duties of the Respiratory Care Practitioner consistent with the Hospital mission and scope of care.
Administration of therapeutic gases, medicinal and bland aerosols, bronchial hygiene procedures, noninvasive monitoring, and ventilatory support.
Administration of, but not limited to; nebulizer therapy, chest physiotherapy, oxygen set up, weaning, code blue, and teaching parents to draw up the correct dosage of medication for nebulization treatment.
What we need from you:
Graduate of an AMA-approved program of respiratory care.
Experience with a variety of mechanical ventilators.
CRT or RRT required.
CPR is required.
Illinois RT license required.
Previous experience must include ventilators.
Previous pediatric experience preferred.
