Job description
- The Nurse Manager will lead and monitor the organization’s Residential Nurses and associated tasks.
- Ensures the agency remains in compliance with state and funder standards and regulations.
- Serves as a partner to Residential leaders and staff, fosters a team approach across disciplines.
- Coordinates admissions between the nursing and intake team to identify needs and successfully implement service planning recommendation.
- Coordinates “on call” supports for clinical emergencies.
- Integrates nursing into the Residential team.
- Implements collaborative practices and meetings with the Residential team.
- Reviews, recommends, and coordinates level of care transitions.
- Provides clinical expertise as required to nursing and residential team members.
- Conducts documentation required by regulations.
- Management of the nursing team as it relates to performance management, coverage, note approval, case assignments.
- Supports the MCO Nurse Manager as needed.
- Monitors the Medication Training, Audits and other required services related to medication.
- Develops and improves workflows, services, and system usage.
- Assist in coverage for nurses in the field (outside of residential program)
- Participates in special case reviews and other clinical review meetings with STCF units and State Hospitals as needed
- Coordinates evaluation of medical needs for consumers in the Residential program with the nursing team
- Implements processes, meetings and services to improve services to consumers
- Must be a Registered Nurse in New Jersey.
- 5 + years’ experience working with consumers who have psychiatric diagnosis.
- Detail oriented; Organized; Can manage multiple priorities.
- Skilled communicator (verbal and written).
