A unique Joint Commission Accredited residential treatment center, serving adolescents with cognitive delays and psychiatric diagnosis, seeks candidates for this full-time, day shift, Monday-Friday position. Working as a member of Whitney Academy’s nursing team, your responsibilities include transcribing Doctors’ orders, attending interdisciplinary team meetings, infection control, meeting students’ basic health care needs, medication administration and on-call rotation.

Whitney Academy, Inc. is a nationally recognized residential treatment center with sites in Freetown, Assonet and Dighton Massachusetts. Whitney Academy serves adolescent boys who are cognitively impaired, have a major psychiatric diagnosis and, histories of sexualized behavioral issues. Registered Nurse (Monday-Friday)

Responsibilities Include:

• Medication Administration
• Transcribe Doctors’ Orders
• Attending Interdisciplinary Team meetings
• Ensure compliance with all infection control standards
• Meeting students’ basic health care needs
• On-call Rotation
• Training and motivating team members
• Function as a Healthy & Therapeutic Role Model
• Coach and Supervise Staff
• Implement medication policy and procedures
