The Director, Powersports position is focused on the powersports channel, and will require in depth knowledge of powersports vehicles, distribution, manufacturers, dealerships, and other powersports industry general knowledge. This role is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and delivering domestic and international business opportunities that add strategic value to the Red Line Oil Organization. Responsible for delivering sales and profitability targets by utilizing effective negotiation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Working effectively with powersports dealers, marketers, and influencers to gain retail product placement, and develop organic pull through for Red Line products

Develop OEM relationships in the powersports channel

In conjunction with the Red Line Oil Sales Director formulate and develop a plan for both short- and long-term opportunities

Be a catalyst for activation at Red Line Oil powersports events

Develop an effective, citable, and scalable market strategy for Red Line Powersports product placement

Responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within assigned geographical region and/or market channels

Manage project analysis, approvals, and implementation by providing support and building relations

Collaborate with internal departments creating strong working relationships and efficiencies

Develop and cultivate key business relationships both internal and external

Working with various groups on delivery of growth targets

Required Qualifications

Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular, full-time basis with no restrictions

At least three years outside sales experience or equivalent

At least five years’ experience in Marketing, Logistics, and Commercial operations or other relevant experience

Analytics: at least three years of experience demonstrating ability to analyze business and financial data and make recommendations

At least three years experience working across business functions; Sales, Supply Chain, Treasury, Contract & Customer Service, P&S and Legal

Negotiating skills: At least five years’ experience finding the most profitable way to complete a deal that works for both sides, while building strong, trusting relationships

Communication Skills: Proficient in communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, to ensure common understanding with multiple levels of management.

Systems: Proficient with PC applications, MS office applications, and data management; able to gather and interpret data from separate systems

50%+ travel is required for the role

Preferred Qualifications

Results oriented: experience driving results and delivering real business improvements

Bachelor’s degree

Influencing Others: At least two years of direct experience working with Influence Management, including conflict resolution and the ability to lead both internal/external resources to achieve goals

Organizational Skills: experience prioritizing and managing multiple tasks/issues simultaneously

Effectively work in a multi-cultural environment.

Project management: has participated in multiple projects or initiatives meeting deadlines

Sound business judgment and complex problem-solving capabilities

Knowledge of market share, petroleum business, financial analysis, strengths and weakness of market and brand channels, and customer awareness

Self motivated and able to work independently

Extensive knowledge of supply chain economics and brand value composition

Ability to network effectively with internal and external customers building trust and cooperation

Ability to take charge in the absence of detailed instructions and involve the right people to work on issues on a day to day basis
