Singing River Health System Hospital - Ocean Springs | Mon- Fr 8am-5pm

Position Overview
The Cashier/Receptionist is responsible for properly performing all duties relating to all phases of the Cashier with patient account monies, including taking payments and receipting such; making daily bank deposits; handling all inquiries regarding accounts; processing refunds; assisting with verification of Medicare/Medicaid numbers via electronic remote system; balancing all monies daily; sorting and distributing incoming mail; and performing PBX duties as needed. The Cashier/Receptionist must have above average communication skills, pleasant voice, clear speech, and good hearing.
Education
High school graduate
Experience
Specialized courses in bookkeeping and experience in cash balancing, and one (1) year of experience as a cashier is preferred. Must successfully pass Alphanumeric Data Entry Test with a score of 50% or better.
Physical Demands
This employee will generally remain in the main Business Office environment where normal speaking, hearing, vision and normal physical requirements apply.
