MSI Express is hiring a a full-time Quality Manager in Batavia, IL.

The Quality Manager champions the Food Safety and Quality systems throughout the plant level leading with safety and food safety while ensuring quality and sanitation operations are ran effectively and efficiently. They are a site leader for internal, third party, and customer audits and identifies areas for continuous improvement action lists and plans. They will execute assignments and projects as assigned by the Regional Director of Quality and Plant Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, direction and training to the plant in areas such as quality, food safety, sanitation, good manufacturing practices and customer specifications.

• Develop, maintain, implement and review HACCP program, Food Safety and Quality Plans (with HACCP/Food Safety Team), and daily quality checks and job specifications

• Responsible for Continuous Improvement through actions such as reviewing plant floor data, interfacing with vendors to manage food safety and quality issues, etc.

• Improve operations via coordination with Operations and Engineering

• Support SOP Management

• Audit Management

• Build and maintain customer relationships

• Manage, lead, and train Quality Assurance Associates (QA), Sanitation, and Quality Control Technicians (QC) as required

• Lead the development, implementation and/or management of the Quality Management System, at all respective facilities.

Qualifications:

• BS/BA degree in Food Safety, Biology, Chemistry or related field
• 3-5 years in food manufacturing management service (quality control, sanitation)
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with exposure to all major functional areas of Quality and Food Safety
• SQF Practitioner Certification, HACCP Certification, and PCQL Certification preferred
