CTS is looking to hire a knowledgeable Quality Manager for our Blue Ash, Ohio location. The Quality Manager plans, coordinates, and directs quality management system designed to ensure continuous production of product conforming to established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates. Responsibilities include involvement in hiring, discipline, terminations and other supervisory responsibilities.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Supervises Quality Engineers, Lab Technicians, Inspection Technicians
  • Utilizes statistical analysis methodologies to monitor and improve processes and identify and correct deficiencies in processes and utilizes statistical and spreadsheet software.
  • Manages personnel and the functions of Inspection, Laboratory, and Quality Engineering; assures that staff are properly trained to effectively perform duties and are certified to customer requirements as appropriate.
  • Maintains current revisions of specifications and standards and communicates requirements throughout the facility as needed. Retains quality records required by customers and agencies.
  • Assures materials received are procured from approved sources, capable of meeting requirements, and properly certified to customer requirements.
  • Assures effective calibration of all measurement and test equipment used to monitor or control processes or used to evaluate product conformity.
  • Initiates and participates in corrective/preventive action stemming from internal audit findings, customer complaints, and product and process issues.
  • Schedules and manages audits of internal products/processes and vendors, preparing for and leading interaction with external quality auditors, including responsibility to successfully close audit findings from external audits. Maintains required customer and industry certifications relating to quality.
  • Acts as the voice of the customer within the facility as the management representative to registrars and regulatory agencies.
  • Keeps aware of customer requirements, industry trends, competitive activities and other potential quality system improvements; initiates actions to keep processes and procedures current.
  • Ensures the conformance of product, processes, and services to customer and regulatory requirements, using his/her authority to halt processes creating nonconforming product.
  • Reports to General Manager and Director of Quality at prescribed intervals on quality objectives, performance of the quality system, and customer issues, also reporting immediately on significant issues.
  • Utilizes report-making and presentation software.
  • Monitors and improves the quality management system and its effectiveness.
  • Performs other duties necessary to ensure product conformance and as assigned by the General Manager and/or Director of Quality.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

About You:
  • 18+ years of age
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screen
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR/EAR
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science plus Six Sigma Greenbelt (or similar training) plus five years of experience in quality management and/or quality engineering; or ASQ Quality Manager certification plus Six Sigma Greenbelt (or similar training) plus five years of experience in quality management and/or quality engineering; or Six Sigma Greenbelt (or similar training) plus seven years of experience in quality management and/or quality engineering.
  • Mathematical Skills - Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and statistics to such tasks as statistical process control, design of experiment, and various analysis methodologies.
  • If the CTS site is approved for Pratt and Whitney work, the Quality Manager must successfully complete P&W Certified LCS Representative (CLCSR) training and testing within 12 months of assuming the Quality Manager’s role and must keep it current by renewing per Pratt requirements.
  • If the CTS site works to the AESQ AS13100 standard the Quality Manager must be trained in the requirements of AS13100 through an AESQ approved AS13100 Requirements course and undergo training in the AESQ Quality Foundations Training course approved by AESQ.
