NaphCare has an excellent opportunity for a Proposal Writer to join our Marketing/Communications team at our Corporate Headquarters in Birmingham, AL. The Proposal Writer works with the Proposal Development team to write strategic, compelling, and customer-focused RFP responses to secure government contracts. The position will report to the Vice President of Marketing and Communications and collaborate with the Proposal Development team and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) throughout the organization.

Position Responsibilities:

• Achieve and maintain a strong understanding of NaphCare’s products and services.
• Reading, reviewing, writing, coordinating overall preparation of proposals and ensuring proposal complies with all Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements.
• Project manage RFP response process from start to finish.
• Setting and meeting deadlines for content development
• Coordinate with the Proposal Development team and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
• Maintain up-to-date company information in the proposal library.

Position Details:

• Bachelor’s degree required in Journalism, Marketing, Operations, English or a communications-related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of proposal or grant writing highly desirable, preferably in the health care field
• Experience in responding to RFPs preferred.
• Excellent research writing, and proofing skills, with close attention to detail
• Graphic design and/or document formatting skills are strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe applications
