The Project Manager is directly accountable for the successful management of the Publication Office calendar of strategic objectives, with a primary focus on meeting and exceeding the goals of the publication plans by providing accurate and proactive support for all project-related activities. The Publications Project Manager will represent the publication office both internally and externally in managing the successful full-cycle execution of key publication initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Publications, the Publications PM is responsible for supporting the vision and executing an Abiomed Publication program on-plan and on-schedule

Responsibilities:

• 
  Effectively use MS Project, Office Timeline, Monday.com, and Gantt charts in the execution and communication. Gather information, maintain, and update status reports based on internal and client status meetings

• Execute and maintain current individual and team timelines.
• Routinely follow up with project owners to ascertain project status and adherence to timelines, and determine any obstacles to delivery and provide solutions/assistance.
• Accurately populate and maintain publication tracking system (data entry, Datavision, etc.)
• Keep abreast of all relevant cardiology and cardiac surgery conferences and abstract deadlines
• Lead internal status meetings
• Execute/create publication plan binders/slides

Research Support

• Develop familiarity with Journal Selector and Conference Authority
• Research relevant journal and congress databases to update grids used by the internal and client teams for submission guidelines, deadlines, and notification dates
• Prepare “Sessions of Interests” for congresses

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, business, marketing, communications, biology, life sciences, or related field
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills; Works effectively on cross-functional teams
• Documented experience in project management (MS Project, Office Timeline, Monday.com, Gantt charts)
• ISMPP certification strongly preferred
• Experience in scientific communications and publication planning strongly preferred
• High attention to detail and accuracy; Excellent prioritization, organizational skills, and advanced, metric-driven project management skills
• Positive, self-starter, willing to work in an extremely fast-paced environment looking for growth and making a difference in patient lives.
• Travel: May require travel in US, and international travel (up to 10%) of the time.
