Job description
  • This position will provide administrative support to the Educator and School Excellence Unit, a unit responsible for the oversight and management of the ESEA consolidated grant application (Title I, Title II, Title IV-A, Title I-D, Title V-B). This is a high-energy position that requires organization, forethought and excellent communication skills.
  • In-state travel is required for this position.

Job Duties:
  • Provide administrative support in word processing, excel data bases, professional development management, travel, procurement, federal and state reporting, database management, and research to assigned Director and Program Services staff
  • Assist in the planning and management of numerous conferences, meetings and educational seminars
  • Manage projects (such as web pages, conference admin (registration, procurement, record keeping) and materials, etc. as assigned
  • Collect, analyze, compile, develop, and maintain data for reports and documents
  • Responsible for special projects such as email distribution lists, coordinating messages for staff, organizing and preparing staff travel
  • Provide administrative support in word processing, excel data bases, professional development management
  • Develop and/or modify forms, documents, budgets, and requisitions to improve the unit’s effectiveness
  • Participate in professional development activities, i.e., training classes, seminars on the job, staff training and sharing

Pre-Employment Requirements:
  • Position requires possession of and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12.).
  • Offers are contingent upon successful completion of all background and reference checks, required documents and, if applicable, a post-offer medical/physical evaluation

Retirement:

You will be required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) upon your 27th week of employment, subject to waiting period. On or shortly after, your first day of employment you will be provided with enrollment instructions and effective date.
