What we need:

Mohawk is looking for a Production Supervisor in Chatsworth, GA who will direct the daily activities of hourly and temporary employees to meet the needs of our customers and help us win in the market. The hours are Monday to Friday 5pm to 3am and Saturdays from 1pm to 7pm.

What you’ll do:

• Oversee employee job assignments including loading, shipping, and receiving products, as well as office and clerical functions
• Participate in interviewing and hiring decisions of new employees
• Train new employees on equipment operation, shipping, receiving, loading, unloading, and other responsibilities
• Monitor and coach employees on performance, conduct performance evaluations

• Provide backup in absence of manager and other employees in assigned area
• Assist with leading safety meetings and implementing safety initiatives
• Oversee inventory control and cycle counts, as well as compile and analyze data and reports related to operations
• Address and resolve customer service issues as they arise

What you have:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
• Previous experience: supervision experienced preferred

• Good working knowledge of AS400
• Basic knowledge and commitment of safety standards.

• Communicating effectively in verbal, written and interpersonal form
• Leading motivating and mentoring a diverse group of employees to achieve results through team effort
• Working in a high-pressure environment and exercising good judgment to resolve problems in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures
• Maintaining professionalism and reducing tension during times of conflict

• Challenging established practices and drawing relevant conclusions to sell new ideas within department

• This is an on site role located in Chatsworth, GA.
