The main role of this position will be to focus on the production of all printing requests and the transfer of electronic files to the equipment and the proper storage of those files. This position reports to Printing/Mailing Services Manager.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set up, adjust, monitor, and operate all printing and bindery equipment.
  • Perform all equipment maintenance necessary to keep equipment producing efficiently.
  • Store all files in the correct format in the Makeready software.
  • Submit files to the production equipment as necessary per the schedule.
  • Maintain an adequate filing structure for all printing files to ensure we are always printing the most current versions.
  • Use and maintain Xerox Core software to help with scheduling, balance loading equipment, and accurate imposition of documents.
  • Review and sort all MRP sheets into a proper schedule.
  • Produce all the data center reports for the manufacturing facility and delivering them to the proper area.
  • Package all completed projects and deliver to the shipping area.
  • Constantly monitor the schedule of projects flowing through the production area ensuring all projects get completed on-time.
  • Monitor the quality of the projects to ensure high quality standards are achieved.
  • Gather metrics for manager’s monthly reports.
  • Ensure enough cross training is being accomplished to keep the flow of work through planned and unplanned absences.
  • Maintain raw materials and supplies at an optimum level.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Three or more years of relevant experience
  • Intermediate understanding of computers and file structures
  • Ability to lift and transport up to 25 pounds on a consistent basis, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand for a large part of the work day

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in related field
  • Fork Truck Certification
  • Five or more years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of Xerox printing equipment and software
