Job description

Summary

The Preschool Teacher is responsible for executing curriculum and managing day-to-day activities of the classroom. Teacher must ensure the health, safety, and quality of education for all children within the center's care.



Duties

~ Develop lesson plans and classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and encourage participation by children.
~ Ensure materials are prepared to properly deliver daily lessons
~ Create a caring and safe environment for children.
~ Help ensure smooth, daily transitions for children.
~ Assist with diapering, potty training, and/or toileting depending on age group.
~ Prepare, cook, and deliver meals in accordance with food safety guidelines.
~ Maintain supervision, hygiene, and safety of all children in accordance with state regulations.
~ Maintain frequent communications with parents through Brightwheel and informal discussions.
~ Maintain and document children's attendance and meals.

Requirements

~ High energy and the ability to communicate, listen and work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment.
~ Ability to multi-task and respond to demanding job duties
~ Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
~ Ability to lift 30 lbs.
~Stand and move as the position requires.
