Chapel welcomes families from all backgrounds and is open to everyone in the community.The Chapel School preschool is a ministry of First Church Congregational Methuen. Although The Chapel School is an outreach of the church, it does not teach religious curriculum.

In addition to mathematical development, scientific thinking, literacy and creative arts, we also teach please and thank you and good values. We provide a safe place for kids to laugh and learn and grow, preparing them for a lifetime of learning. We are a school year program (September June) and follow the Methuen public school calendar. The Chapel School has 4 classrooms with a current enrollment of 70 children.

Chapel provides a cozy, collaborative and flexible environment for both children and staff. Basic Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Director is a full-time, non-teaching administrator of the preschool.The Director leads the preschool staff in operating the preschool, including day to day operations and special events.The Director plans, organizes, directs and manages programs for preschool-age children and facilitates positive relations among preschool staff, parents and FCC Church Leadership.The Director provides supervision and evaluation of all paid and volunteer staff and fosters preschool staff development.The Director conducts an annual review of the operation of the program and make timely recommendations to the Senior Pastor and the Church Board regarding ways to improve the operations, education, safety, and enrollment of the school.The Director is responsible for operating the preschool within the budget that includes basic supplies, equipment and food supplies.*Full job description will be provided to candidates during the interview process.
