Job description
Die NDR Bigband ist ein renommiertes Jazzsolistenensemble, welches jährlich an rund 200 Tagen musiziert und mehr als 50 Konzerte spielt. Mit eigenen Konzertreihen, Auftritten bei fast allen Festivals im Norden, mit nationalen und internationalen Tourneen findet sie ein großes und vielfältiges Publikum. Wenn die NDR Bigband nicht auf Tour ist, dann ist sie in ihrem Studio 1 in Hamburg zu finden. Hier wird entweder für bevorstehende Konzerte geprobt oder Musik aufgenommen, die anschließend im Radio gesendet wird. Einige der Aufnahmen erscheinen auch als CD. Damit die Musiker sich vollkommen auf die Musik und ihr Instrument konzentrieren können, kümmert sich die Redaktion um die Planung, Organisation und Durchführung von Konzerten und Produktionen. Im Orchesterbüro werden Flüge und Hotels für die Gastmusiker gebucht sowie Verträge mit diesen verhandelt und erstellt. Zudem fertigt die Redaktion die Dienstpläne für die Bigband und alle Beteiligten an. Mit Veranstaltern werden die nächsten Konzerte für verschiedene Spielstätten geplant, auf dieser Grundlage entsteht unsere Halbjahresvorschau mit Informationen zu allen Konzerten. Die Konzerte und auch Produktionen der NDR Bigband sind im Radioprogramm des NDR zu hören. Dort gibt es jeden Abend eine Stunde Jazz auf NDR Info. Die Jazz Redaktion betreut und organisiert den Programmablauf. Dazu gehören unter anderem: inhaltliche Planung der Sendung, das Erstellen von Trailern, Verlosungen, Rechercheaufgaben und Aufbereitung für das Internet.
