Job Summary
Alliant Energy is looking for professionals with a background in Mechanical Maintenance to join our team at the Edgewater Generating Station in Sheboygan, WI.
This is an entry level position for candidates with a mechanical maintenance background - that provides opportunities to learn the trade and a career path to move into other positions within the company. This position is a temporary role and is estimated to last until the retirement of the plant, approximately 36 months.
The person in this role will perform work in and around a power plant requiring a variety of skills to include work with the turbine, pump room, boiler and fuel handling equipment.
What you will do
- Routine cleaning and janitorial work.
- Performs unskilled and semi-skilled physical work required in the various operations of any department of the power plant.
- Assists Maintenance Technicians with maintaining, repairing, cleaning, inspecting and constructing of equipment and systems for the generation facility.
- Provides stores support.
- Performs maintenance of buildings, equipment and grounds as assigned.
- Performs other duties which are similar, related or incidental to the position.
