As a PMO Director , you excel at the intersection of interdisciplinary teams and act as the conduit between cross-functional efforts enabling unity and synergy across the organization. This position requires a well-rounded individual who is detail-oriented and can manage programs while leading a PMO team. The Director of PMO is someone who can thrive in an unstructured environment by fostering collaboration and distilling complex problems into actionable plans to help drive programs and projects to successful completion.
Key Accountabilities:
o Design, implement and advance the maturing of an enterprise Program Management Office.
o Collaborate with executive leadership and key business stakeholders serving as the core spokesperson for the PMO.
o Direct PMO staff, advanced PMO governance, and lead director-level cross-functional teams to implement company-wide programs.
o Establish and advance best practices for program and project management across the organization.
o Lead the end-to-end program management of strategic, high-profile corporate programs in a cross-functional, hyper-growth environment.
o Partner with and influence internal teams to operationalize the implementation of program roadmaps, including measuring their effectiveness and value.
o Leverage the PMO function to support the selection and implementation of fit-for-purpose technology solutions and the effectiveness of our mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities.
o Ensure the PMO team identifies program and project bottlenecks and proactively communicates and monitors resolution across the Client portfolio.
o Oversee the management of cross-program timelines, dependencies, decisions, and constraints by the PMO team.
o Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPI) across programs and projects in the portfolio and the PMO function.
About You:
o Minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 10 years and a Master's degree; or equivalent experience.
o Demonstrable experience with EPMO or PMO implementations is highly desired.
o Demonstrable knowledge of program and project management tools such as , Jira, Microsoft Project, and Smartsheet.
o Must have experience in Financial/Budget Planning.
o Must have experience in working with multi-vendor team.
o Robust Program Management and Project Management skills and demonstrable experience in leveraging them appropriately.
o 5+ years of demonstrated ability to mentor and effectively manage a team of project managers, providing leadership and professional development.
o Stellar communication skills and a demonstrable ability to lead and influence others.
o Demonstrated capability in organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
o Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and track record of thriving in a hyper-growth technology organization.
o PMP certification is a must.
o PgMP, PfMP, Six Sigma, and Agile knowledge or certification are a plus.
