Mosquito/Tick Control Technician Job Description:

Mosquito Squad is a mosquito and tick treatment service company. The West County location is family owned and operated. We are looking for someone who is committed to providing the highest level of client service and enjoys doing physical work. Mosquito Control Technicians conduct property inspections, perform treatments (both natural and pesticide products, depending on the property), and educate customers on mosquito and tick reduction methods. The Technician must be able to provide excellent customer service, including communicating with customers. We will provide training to comply with all state and federal laws and regulations. The Technician must be able to work with minimal supervision under the leadership of the Head Technician and/or owner and works with other Mosquito Squad team members.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provides superior customer services to maintain customer satisfaction and preservation of the Mosquito Squad brand and reputation
  • Safely travel to customer’s homes, conducts inspection of the property, and properly performs barrier treatments following all company, state, and federal laws
  • Operate a backpack blower in heat and humidity, often through uneven terrain
  • Follows assigned route and timeline provided by administrative staff to service assigned accounts
  • Prepares daily field service reports and maintains accurate records of barrier treatments and other field activities
  • Ensures vehicles are maintained and cleaned
  • Responds to basic customer inquiries and requests, notifies supervisor and/or owner of complaints or issues to ensure timely resolution
  • Hangs door hangers within the neighborhood of customers as directed, and
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School Graduate / GED
  • Must pass Missouri and/or Illinois Pesticide Applicator Exam (all test fees paid, and training provided)
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and reliable transportation to and from work
  • Professional, self-confident, reliable and pays attention to detail to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
  • Provides superior service to facilitate customer satisfaction and retention
  • Must be able to maneuver a backpack blower, approx. 45 lbs. on uneven terrain

Drug testing, driving and background checks are performed upon job offer

Compensation starting at $17/hour, depending on qualifications and experience. Increase once license is obtained
