The Department of Pediatrics at The University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine is seeking a pediatric nephrologist to join our group of two nephrologists at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine and the University of Vermont Children’s Hospital. This 1.0 FTE clinical position will involve caring for children with a wide variety of kidney disorders and provides opportunities for involvement in education, advocacy, and/or research based on the applicant’s interests and career goals.
The position is for an Assistant or Associate Professor on the non-tenure clinical scholar pathway. Applicants must have an MD or DO degree and be board certified or board eligible in pediatric nephrology. We are seeking a nephrologist with strong interpersonal skills, dedication to excellent clinical care and an interest in either clinical research, quality improvement, or medical education. There are opportunities to create a position that fits with an applicant’s interests. The nephrology division provides the spectrum of nephrology care including acute and chronic dialysis and apheresis. We have strong clinical support to allow physicians to focus on clinical care. The Department of Pediatrics prides itself on collaborative relationships between divisions. This enhances clinical care and creates a collegial environment.
