Job Summary:

Sky Zone is looking for a Payroll Administrator for a 6-to-8-month contract to assist in processing payroll. This is a remote position. The Payroll Administrator will process bi-weekly and off cycle payrolls while maintaining employee time records for the US while backing up Canada payroll where needed

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Enters, maintains, and/or processes information for US in UKG and Workday (future) or Canada in Dayforce / Ceridian. Information may include employees’ hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and other information.
• Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other deductions for 5,500 + employees.
• Reconciles payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements.
• Issues, or reissues, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.
• Records and processes federal and state payroll tax deposits.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of experience in payroll preferred.
• Knowledge of processing payroll in UKG (formally UltiPro), Ceridian, Dayforce or Workday preferred.
• Knowledge of multi – state, multi – unit payroll experience
• Large volume payroll experience
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll software.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Compensation: $23-$25/hour pending experience.
