Signet Health manages the behavioral health services for MedStar Washington Hospital Center. Our team uses evidence-based treatment modalities to help provide cutting-edge and quality therapeutic services to those that need it most in the District of Colombia area, as well as surrounding states. Our services include brief therapy, group therapy, addiction related services, medication management, Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), Partial-Hospitalization Program (PHP), and integrated Co-Occurring treatment for adults and older adults.
We have Full-Time and Part-time Patient Registration openings that offers rich and unique learning opportunities. Typical schedule will be M-F from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.
This person is responsible for complete range of front and back end ambulatory office operations. This will include various clinical, insurance verification, managing office setting, scheduling, call center, patient portal management and collaborative administrative tasks in an Outpatient Behavioral Health Setting.
- To provide top-notch customer service both to patients and internally to the ambulatory interdisciplinary team by greeting patients and visitors with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
- Performs timely and accurate registration, co-pay collection, insurance verification, sign-in/check-in functions and notification of patient arrivals.
- Remains available to answer/screen live telephone callers to determine the purpose of the call and initiate scheduling or re-routing of patients for needed care.
- Guides and supports patients and their families as needed through their needed care and within the facility as appropriate.
- Receives and delivers messages as appropriate, schedules and coordinates appointments as necessary and obtains relevant diagnostic test results prior to patient appointment.
- Supports patient needs around vitals, health checks, or other clinically appropriate requests in collaboration with the clinic nursing staff.
- Completes required chart documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system, and will help with pre-authorizations as appropriate.
- Requires attention to detail and assignments are expected to be completed by deadlines given.
- Assists family members, conducts outreach efforts to patients, and audits system entries.
- Strong organization, initiative, and time management skills are important.
- Moderate to advanced typing and computer skills are critical, especially with the growing virtual services due to the pandemic.
- Other duties as assigned.
