Advantage Resourcing has partnered with a company located in Hazlehurst, GA. This company manufactures, and distributes rubber shoes. We are looking for 1st shift and 2nd shift Packers! This is an entry level position that requires your watchful eye to be sure the company is sending out the best to their customers.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Running shoes - Remove shoes from a plastic tote that is 36” off the ground, slide a plastic hanger on the pair of shoes, then place shoes on the conveyor for the next line worker. When empty, place plastic tote on the conveyor to be removed.
• Tying shoes - loop an elastic string through the pair of shoes and hanger to tie a knot.
• Tagging shoes - attach a hangtag to shoe using a circle loop swifttach.
• Labeling chipboard - place two labels on a chipboard box then erect chipboard box using auto-lock bottom. Place chipboard box on conveyor.
• Packing shoes – remove a pair of shoes from the conveyor, inspect the shoes to ensure size, hanger and tag is correct before placing shoes in a chipboard box.
• Sealing chipboard - fold and close top of chipboard box then tape closed.
• Building boxes - affix label to outside of folded box, erect box and tape bottom closed and stack approximately 18” high in a stack.
• Packing master carton – place sealed chipboard boxes into master carton taping closed when full and place master carton (10-12 lbs.) on a stack.
• Applying glue – remove shoes from plastic tote and use boom mounted hot-glue gun to apply glue to the foot-bed of shoe then place shoe on the conveyor. Place empty tote on conveyor line.
• Inserting insole – remove shoe from the conveyor and place insole in foot-bed. Rub down the insole to ensure a smooth fit. Place finished shoe back on the conveyor line.
• Inspecting glued shoes – remove glued shoes from the conveyor belt and counting the number of shoes on the conveyor line before placing them in an empty tote. Remove empty totes from the conveyor line and stack in a designated area.

• Ability to assess products for quality compliance.
• Ability to work at a fast pace.
• Ability to cross train and perform all jobs on the pack line.

• Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry objects.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
• Must be able to stand in place and rotate jobs on the packing line several times a day.
