Location: Home Base- Fort Worth, TX (Preferred) or Little Rock, AR
General Purpose of this Position:
Responsible for the generation and creation of new business opportunities while creating greater industry exposure for potential sales, increased revenues and maintaining current client relationships.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Sales and Revenue Generation
- Develop customer base and sales opportunities for Steel Fabrication projects within the capabilities of the Fort Worth, Winnsboro and Benton fabrication and future facilities.
- Collaborate, network and sell to professionals within the architectural, engineering and construction industries.
- Maintain an awareness of profitable pricing and industry market conditions.
- Proactively assist in the research of new opportunity leads to be considered for Bid/No Bid determinations.
- Utilize other Junction Industries services in your effort to introduce enhanced capabilities and cross sell other Junction Industries services.
- Uphold the values and support the mission/vision/culture as laid out by President/CEO.
- Estimating Support
- Evaluate and analyze contract drawing and scope to ensure our commitment to estimate and produce material is compliant with customer needs and expectations.
- Maintain estimate project list schedule and disposition each quote with feedback given to the estimating group.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners and contractors while being the primary customer point of contact for any structural/architectural related questions which arise during the estimating process.
- Occasional travel to jobsites to evaluate job performance and create positive relationships with GCs, PMs etc.
- Strategic Sales Planning
- Analyze sales statistics to formulate policies to assist in promoting products and services.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and recommend strategy to proactively keep our name and service menu relevant and in front of customers by social media, new blogs, etc.
- Overall customer account management including implementation of margin analysis, competitive market information and quality improvements initiatives.
- Monitors, analyzes, evaluates and reports at regular intervals to the President about business activities, external opportunities and threats to the steel industry.
- Hold regular meetings with Plant Managers at each fabrication facility to keep them updated on production of estimates and outlook on future work.
- Review market data to determine customer needs. Volume potential, pricing schedules and develop sales strategies to achieve division goals.
- Documentation/Communication
- Maintain a log of contacts and activities and communicate via a weekly report to the President
- Maintain a quote disposition log and communicate regularly with peers and staff to give feedback on opportunities and threats.
- Analyzing and controlling expenditures to conform to budgetary requirements.

Reports to President.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Demonstrated, mathematical and spatial visualization ability as applied in the structural steel industry with the ability to read and design, fab and erection drawings.
- Familiar with construction concepts, practices and procedures.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
- Strong spreadsheet software skills and familiarity with CRM software.
- Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Ability to respond quickly and efficiently to all inquiries from customers, contractors, consultants and other inside customers.
Credential and Experience
- +10 Years Steel Fabrication/ Steel Erection sales or management experience
- Prefer BA/BS degree or 7 plus years of equivalent sales experience.
