Operations Manager

Fixed Term Contract - 24 Months

Somatex, an Hologic company, is on the lookout for an experienced Operations Manager to join the team in Berlin, Germany.

Operations is on a journey: The goal is transformation change. This journey requires an inspirational leader who can pick up a current change roadmap, and lead process and performance improvement through lean methodologies. Developing process, people, and common purpose through the organisation, whilst dealing with tactical issues in a highly regulated and matrix organisation. Ultimately delivering step change performance and a balanced scorecard.

What to expect:

• Coordinate Somatex overall supply chain operations and be the single point of contact accountable for Somatex supply chain
• Coordinates the Operations functional areas including: Supply Chain, procurement, customer service, Operations, design transfer, and others as appropriate
• Develops and executes against supply chain cost goals, through Opex budgeting, value improvement program (VIP), productivity improvement programs and regulates department headcount
• Take ownership of specific functional areas of procurement, supply chain, logistics, design transfer and lean/Ci.
• Participate in site leadership team to foster cross functional collaboration and deliver increasingly higher level of organizational execution and customer satisfaction.
• Lead the change initiative throughout Op’s, moving Somatex operations to best in class

This is a dynamic role for a dynamic candidate, this role will suit a hands-on leader.

What we expect:

• Demonstratable experience in multiple areas of Operations (Product and Process development and transfer; manufacturing; Supply Chain; Engineering).
• Experience in managing significant organizational changes & transitions
• Experience in company integration would be a plus
• Experience with GMP and ISO regulations, ideally medical device & single use/implantable manufacturing. Though other medical device, pharma, automotive, FMCG backgrounds will be considered
