Job Title: East Hudson Youth Soccer League Operations and Office Manager
Job Overview:

The EHYSL Operations and Office Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the league, overseeing the office staff and administrative tasks ensuring smooth and efficient operations. This role requires excellent organizational and leadership skills, as well as a deep understanding of soccer and the logistics of managing a sports league.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to the EHYSL Board of Directors and execute initiatives approved by the BoD.
  • Oversee all administrative tasks related to the operation of EHYSL, including working with various BoD members on scheduling games, managing player registrations, and processing payments
  • Develop and maintain relationships with league stakeholders, including club managers, coaches, players, and officials
  • Ensure compliance with league rules and regulations, including player eligibility, safety protocols, and disciplinary actions
  • Work with the EHYSL office staff to create and maintain league schedules, standings, and statistical records, and ensure timely and accurate dissemination of information to league participants
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of league operations
  • Plan and organize league events, such as tournaments, fundraising activities, and awards ceremonies
  • Work with the Treasurer on the league's financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, and reporting
  • Develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies to increase league participation and visibility
  • Supervise league office staff and volunteers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in sports management, business administration, or a related field
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in sports league management, preferably in soccer
  • In-depth knowledge of soccer rules, regulations, and best practices
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and manage staff and volunteers
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including players, coaches, officials, and community members
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by league activities
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative, while also collaborating effectively with others as part of a team

The salary for this position will depend on qualifications and experience.
