Position Summary: The Operations Coordinator supports the Director of Communications and Communications Manager in operational matters. This includes drafting weekly communications to Archdiocesan stakeholders, making updates to the website including posting events, organizing processes, and assisting in projects and special initiatives. The person in this position leads data analytics and free digital advertising efforts/procurement for the various digital platforms of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. Finally, the Operations Coordinator coordinates department meetings and gatherings.

Essential Functions of the Position:

· Curates content, drafts and schedules messages to parish staff, including Parish Leadership Update, This Week in Communications, and Archdiocesan Update.

· Designs and keeps current the newsletter templates and weekly graphic content and layout.

· Leads data analytics efforts and works with Digital Content Team on securing and utilizing digital advertising grants.

· Updates database lists and addresses other ad hoc email subscription requests.

· Responds to requests for promotion of local Catholic events and posts the events in the appropriate places.

· Assists Communications Manager with website posts, corrections, and updates, including managing document storage and links.

· Posts messages, links and documents for ACC staff to archTODAY (Archdiocesan intranet).

· Responds to the communications inbox.

· Serves as back up the Communications Manager.

· Proofs work for fellow Communications Department team members.

· Writes content for Communications Office campaigns and initiatives.

· Schedules Communications Department meetings, creates agendas, and takes minutes.

· Plans special Communications Department functions.

· Maintains the staff contact list and organizational chart for the Office of Communications.

· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written;

· Strong organizational skills/Detail oriented;

· Pleasant and friendly demeanor;

· Knowledge and understanding of the Roman Catholic Church, its structure and the ministries within the Offices of the Catholic Center;

· Ability to exercise discretion, good judgment and initiative;

· Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, with the ability to learn new or updated software, especially bulk emailing systems like Flocknote and Evangelus;

· Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision;

· Diplomatic, tactful and discreet especially when dealing with confidential matters;

· Ability to work in collaboration with others;

· Strong interpersonal skills.

Job Qualifications: (Education and Experience):

· Desired: Four-year college degree or associate (2-year) degree or equivalent

· Graphic design experience/training, particularly with electronic newsletters

· Experience with or interest in data analytics and digital advertising efforts

· A minimum of 3 years' experience preferred

· Some post-high school education and experience in the area of writing

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
