Medsurg or Oncology experience required. RN must be willing to float to other areas as needed. Travel RN’s will be the first to float if census is down. Floating to tele units may be required. Two or more holidays may be required. Every third weekend (Saturday/Sunday), two Fridays per month.

Must be fully COVID vaccinated.

Unit Description: Inpatient Oncology Services (4-West) is a 30-bed unit. Patients may be admitted to the unit at any time during the journey through the cancer continuum, from initial diagnosis, surgery, chemotherapy, management of complications and terminal care. Patients may also be admitted with hematological disorders, especially sickle cell crisis, and with medical-surgical conditions. On this unit, the care is provided by a multidisciplinary team of registered nurses, patient care assistants, physicians, case managers, health unit coordinators, a clinical nurse specialist, an educator, chaplains, nutritionists, social workers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and respiratory therapists. The team is strongly committed to providing the highest possible quality of care to all patients, and to the continual development of the entire staff.
