Position Overview

Beach Therapy & Consulting is a multidisciplinary private practice providing quality services to patients, community agencies, and other practitioners including psychotherapy, supervision services, consultation to community agencies, and trainings for area practitioners. The clinical assistant is a unique position that combines administrative duties and clinical work with patients. This position manages the daily activities of the office and is the liaison between patient and clinician, acting as the first point of contact and offering triage services to patients, potential referral sources, and community professionals. The ideal candidate has a warm and empathetic voice when interacting with patients over the phone and in session, can prioritize responsibilities and complete tasks in a timely manner, is proficient in computer skills (Microsoft Office, Apple desktops), responds well to constructive criticism.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assists in patient care and coordination of treatment with patients and clinicians as well as administrative team.
  • Conducts phone triage, intakes and referrals. Coordinates with external billing service.
  • Provides administrative support for daily office functioning.
  • Assists in marketing clinical services and clinical training program.

● Scheduling patients and working within the EHR

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred in Medical, Health Administration, Social Work, Psychology
  • Preference given to those that have experience in medical offices
  • Experience with office management, letter writing, marketing
  • Skills in typing, utilizing Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
  • Computer skills in using both Macintosh and Windows operating systems, use of email, and the internet.
