Multimedia Graphic Designer
Job description

1. Content Development- In coordination with the Com Rel Spec (Multimedia), consults to determine multimedia production needs on various aspects of design, development and implementation.
- Assists with pre-production planning and provides technical recommendations.
- Provides regular project status updates and solicits feedback to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Actively introduces and shares new ideas and concepts to assist with innovation and streamlining processes.
- Perpetuate a “client-focused” approach to projects while working efficiently within firm deadlines and maintaining quality of product and services
2. Graphics - Assists with marketing, promotion, and design development. Responsible for pre-production, production and post-production of assigned graphic design projects.
- Ensures compliance with department brand guidelines, deadlines and design standards
- Uses Adobe software to produce final graphic design products appropriately formatted to application.
- Assist to converting raster graphics into vector format.
3. Photography - Photographs, edits and provides final product images for a variety of applications.
- Responsible for pre-production, production and post-production of assigned photography projects.
- Edits images using Adobe software to produce final product images appropriately formatted to application.
- Utilizes constant and strobe photography lighting techniques to capture images.
4. Digital Signage– Assists to maintain our network of multiple in-house Digital Signage Displays.
- Reformats, edits and posts content submitted for dissemination on communication tool.
- Schedules and organizes content to display with effective dwell time.
5. Software - Develops content with Adobe Creative Suite software tools.
- Creates and designs various media in Adobe Photoshop.
- Processes RAW photos from DSLR camera and edits photos in Adobe Lightroom.
- Edits audio recordings using Adobe Audition software to produce audio content that is appropriately formatted to application.
- Creates animations and motion graphics in Adobe After Effects.
- Edits video with Premiere Pro to produce engaging storytelling visuals.
- Uploads and manages content for the Digital Signage System using current software
6. Archival Documentation - Preserves, maintains and promotes activities, events, programs, and any other relevant occurrences provided by the SRPMIC.
- Creates, organizes and maintains a catalogue system for Department photographs, and other multimedia materials for archival and reference use.
- Assists with developing and maintaining department protocols for version control, naming conventions, and organization of digital multimedia files.
7. Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Com Rel Spec (Multimedia), Multimedia Manager or Director
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics:
- Knowledge of the culture, history and government of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC).
- Knowledge of multimedia and digital signage concepts, equipment, displays, and processes.
- Knowledge of key concepts for digital photography, videography, advertising and marketing.
- Knowledge of graphic design concepts, style, design, creative and color schemes.
- Technical knowledge of how to proficiently photograph and operate camera equipment
Skill demonstrating creative thinking.- Skill with correct spelling, punctuation, grammar and written and verbal communication
- Skill properly and efficiently utilizing Adobe software
Strong ability to animate motion graphics using Adobe After Effects is preferred.- Ability to use both a Mac and personal computer including Microsoft Office software skills.
- Ability to tell a story through video editing.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a professional, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to demonstrate exemplary teamwork, working under deadline pressure, time management, planning and organization.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
Education and Experience: Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in Multimedia Design, Arts, Computer Graphics, Animation or a directly related field. A Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
Required skills and experience with:- Adobe Creative Cloud Suite including Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator & Lightroom
- Desire to continue to grow skill set with ongoing education and training
Equivalency: Any equivalent combination of education and experience that will allow the applicant to satisfactorily perform the duties of the job may be considered.
Underfill Eligibility: An enrolled Community Member whom closely qualifies for the minimum qualifications for a position may be considered for employment under SRPMIC Policy 2-19, Underfill.
May be required to work outside normal work hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver’s License.
