POSITION SUMMARY

To provide superior quality, competitive value and outstanding service by providing patient service support and transporting the Brevard Health Alliance Mobile Unit to various locations across Brevard County.

GENERAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or General Equivalency/Educational Diploma (GED)

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5 years truck driving experience. Mobile health unit experience a plus
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Good communication skills
• Basic computer skills required
• Valid Commercial Florida Driver’s License and good driving record
• Flexibility with the ability to work variable hours and locations

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Drives mobile van to designated sites for patient care daily and returns van to designated area each evening
• Complies with traffic regulations to operate Mobile Unit in a safe manner
• Acts as initial point of contact for patients coming to mobile unit by signing in patients and taking patient demographic and insurance information
• Performs set up and tear down of van before and after patient care
• Communicates effectively with staff at mobile sites and clinics regarding scheduling
• Performs routine maintenance of mobile unit
• Reports all malfunctions of equipment to appropriate Manager
• Communicates with clinical staff regarding primary medical care or case management appointments for patients seen on the mobile unit
• Performs other duties as requested by Business Supervisor or Director of Business Operations
• Performs checks to ensure that all occupational hazards are fixed and/or reported to the appropriate staff member
• Performs related duties as requested by the Director of Business Operations
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Takes ownership and represents Brevard Health Alliance’s mission and organizational goals established by the executive committee. These include, but are not limited to: Productivity, Quality, Patient Satisfaction, and Employee Retention. It is the duty of each BHA employee to incorporate these goals into all daily work routines, and strive to achieve and surpass all goals by working as a team. The mission and goals of BHA will be incorporated into each associate’s Key Performance Indicators and will be evaluated on a monthly and quarterly basis.
