POSITION SUMMARY

Job Title: Mig Fixture Fabricator

Reports To: Plant Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY

Designs all mig fixtures for the mig department using approved drawings provided by the design department. These fixtures will be made to assure that a 100% quality part can be produced by the welders in the mig department.

EXPERIENCE OR TRAINING REQUIRED OR PREFERRED

• Mig welding experience required, Tig welding a plus.
• Must be able to translate drawings.
• Must be able to read a tape measure and use calipers.
• Basic reading, writing, math and excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to work with others.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for complete assembly of fixtures for the mig department to use in making a first quality part.
• Must be able to build fixtures from engineered drawings, prints and sketches
• Communicates with other areas of production for completion of fixtures
• Responsible for making sure fixtures are produced on time so jobs can be completed in the proper time frame in production.
• Must assure all fixtures will produce a 100% quality part.
• Willing to be flexible in doing other things like helping the sample department, mig line or other departments when needed.
• Log time in the SAP system for all fixtures produced.
• Such other duties as are assigned from time to time.

JOB EXPECTATIONS

• 100% quality of all fixtures.
• On time delivery of all fixtures
• Maintain good housekeeping, product organized and stored for ease of handling.
• Maintain compliance of all required documentation of fixtures produced.
• Maintain safe working practices.
• Flexible work hours are a must due to tight production demands and parts availability. Must be able to work overtime or flex hours.
• Good positive attitude toward their job and the company.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
