The ideal candidate for this Medical Receptionist position is a self-starter who finds value working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while providing support and solutions to patients, healthcare professionals, insurance providers, etc. Robert Half is working with a client in the Healthcare industry to find charismatic and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist. This temporary employment opportunity is based in the Waconia, Minnesota area. You can provide customer service, over the phone and in-person, as the director of first impressions in this Medical Receptionist role. Apply immediately!What you get to do every single day
- Tend to patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries
- Ensuring the waiting and reception areas are kept neat and clean; reporting on any damage
- Acting as a liaison with patients and providers in a compassionate and kind manner
- Helping with patient's paperwork occasionally
- Responding to inquiries in a detail-oriented and effective manner while efficiently answering phone calls within a minimum number of rings
- Administrating various files and providing general office duties, e.g. faxing, data entry, scanning, etc.
- Making appointments, collecting co-pays, and providing receipt of money in accordance with established procedures
- Responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations
- Assisting in the management of patient medical records
- Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment
- Incoming phone call management skills desired
- Comprehension of medical terminology and insurance products
- Prior experience with multi-line phone systems preferred
- You will be a top applicant if you have experience with insurance billing and an electronic medical record system, as well as social media platforms
- Solid understanding of Patient Registration
- Knowledge of Patient Intake
- Insurance Verifications experience preferred
- Inbound Outbound Calls experience highly desired
