We are seeking a Veterinarian who is dependable, energetic, and willing to teach, learn and excel. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent client service, and communication skills are required. Our multi-doctor practice provides a bond-centered environment that is exciting, fast-paced, and professionally challenging while keeping the service to our clients and their pets at the center of our focus.

At the same time, the city itself has a much more relaxed and suburban feel. With an array of cafes and restaurants quaintly lining the streets, and nightlife essentials like bars and movie theaters all have a local vibe. The main downtown area is located just northwest of Stanford’s sprawling campus. Residents will find the Downtown Palo Alto Farmers Market here and outdoor coffee shops. All the bare essentials are a short distance away from each other, but it never feels too cluttered or busy, and a lot of the shops are mom-and-pop owned. Palo Alto is also home to some of the best schools in California. The public school system is highly rated, and several excellent private schools are located within the city limits.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS:

• Works with DVMs, Hospital Manager and clinical teammates to ensure best clinical practices and high-quality medical care are being provided at the hospital
• Fosters a positive, healthy hospital culture, both through leading by example and by guiding the team through active feedback and managed accountability
• Supports excellence in client experience, working with DVMs and Practice Manager to address issues and promote training as needed
• Works collaboratively with HM and Regional Operations Director to proactively identify opportunities for growth and improvement of the hospital as well as clinical training for team

Competencies And Experience

• Valid and in good standing licensed veterinarian within the state of Arizona
• Requisite clinical privileges and DEA license
• 3-5 years of clinical experience, preferred
• Strong clinical skills and sound medical judgment
• Ability and desire to mentor and develop DVM clinical skills, preferred
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent time-management and delegation abilities
• Exercises sound judgement and demonstrates exemplary decision-making skills
• Professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with others
