Highly successful South Florida practice offers an exciting opportunity for those in the Healthcare Field. We are looking to fill the position for a Medical Billing Associate. We are looking for an individual that is experienced and motivated. This position is offered in an office setting, not for Remote work. We thrive in a cooperative team environment and are seeking an employee with the ability to multitask, pay attention to detail, with superior communication skills.

Requirements for Medical Biller:

  • At least 6 months to 1 year active medical practice
  • Medical Billing & Coding Certification (Preferred)
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for entering and coding services into a charging and billing software system, charging outstanding balances on accounts, follow up on insurance claims, and perform collection duties. Additional responsibilities include:

· Investigate rejected claims and reason codes

· Follow up to claims accepted or denied

· Maintain strict confidentiality

· Correctly code services (CPT) and diagnosis (ICD-9, ICD-10)

· Prepare and review statements

· Submit claims to insurance

· Ensure reimbursement for all procedures

· Collect, post, and manage patient account payments

· Review delinquent accounts and call for collection purposes

· Process payments from insurance companies

· Answer patient phone calls regarding billing and scheduling

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
