Families Together of Orange County – a Federal Qualified Health Center is seeking an experienced or just out of school bilingual: Spanish speaking Medical Assistant for our Lake Forest office. The proper candidate must have outstanding customer service skills and be able to adapt to working with a variety of individuals from the surrounding community. The primary job function is providing high-quality customer service to our members while demonstrating our core values.

Salary: Depends on experience but highly competitive

Schedule: Monday – Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and occasional Saturdays (1/2 day)

Status: Full Time

Duties:

  • Verifies patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.
  • Prepares patients for examination by taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature; reporting patient history summary.
  • Performs on-site testing and procedures, per physician’s order.
  • Secures patient information and maintains patient confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records and other patient information.
  • Accurately records patient information, measurement data, procedure documentation and test results in electronic medical record, securing workstation when finished.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
  • Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Participates in quality management program.
  • Performs Front Office procedures to schedule, check in and process patients.
  • Performs Start of Day and End of Day procedures, as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must have a high energy/enthusiastic personality
  • Must be computer literate
  • Willing to work some Saturdays (1/2 days)
  • 1 year of Medical/healthcare office receptionist experience required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $27.00 per hour
