We are seeking a Medical Assistant to help with our growing practice and share in the experience of provide world class care.

Job Responsibilities:

• Patient care responsibilities including, recording patient vital signs, accompanying patients to exam rooms, assisting physicians, preparing patients for examinations.
• Answer phone calls when needed.
• Fulfills clerical responsibilities such as sending/receiving patient medical records, obtaining Laboratory/X-ray reports and hospital notes, processing referral information and completing forms/requisitions.
• Occasionally scans necessary medical information into patient charts. Instructs patients in basic testing requirements.
• Adheres to and employs appropriate sterile technique and universal precautions guidelines.

Requirements:

• Experience: Previous experience in a medical group practice or similar situation preferred.
• Education: High School or GED
• Special Skills: Proficient in medical terminology preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Customer service oriented.
