Mechanical Engineer

Essential Functions:

• Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching testing methods and conferring with equipment vendors
• Create prints for new customer profiles
• Maintain EPIC computer system to ensure print revisions are current
• Update EPIC computer system with aluminum billet chemical composition
• Support production to resolve any manufacturing issues
• Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods
• Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor and material costs
• Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
• Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations
• Ensure the quality control manual is current
• Ensure equipment remains operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services
• Plan, schedule and prioritize work to meet established deadlines
• Provide analytical support and execute change initiatives
• Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvements in quality control
• Support the engineering needs by being the subject matter expert for all material handling equipment with the facility
• Calibrate measuring equipment

Required Skills

• Excellent time management, follow up, communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work well under pressure in both an office setting as well as a warehouse setting

Required Experience

• 3-5 years’ experience in an engineering discipline
• Strong fluency with AutoCAD
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Experience with Adobe products
• Prior experience working in a warehouse setting a plus
